Christmas in Warrensburgh
...an old fashioned townwide holiday celebration
Christmas in Warrensburgh began in 1989, inspired by a similar event in Edgartown MA, and coordinated to coincide with the lighting of the Christmas trees in the towns along the Dude Ranch Trail. This old fashioned town wide holiday celebration brings our community, young and old alike, together during this festive season for spiritual and cultural enrichment, and includes participants from throughout the Adirondacks and beyond, showcasing local and regional talent, and welcoming visitors. In 1991 the Town Board commended Warrensburgh Beautification for its efforts organizing the event which brought civic pride to our community. And, in 1996, the Boston Sunday Globe recognized Christmas in Warrensburgh as one of the top ten holiday events within a day’s drive. “And the bells shall ring out, and the voices carry far above the mountain peaks, and the valley below radiate such warmth and love, but for a brief moment in time, the biting winds of Winter shall be tame.” Christmas in Warrensburgh 1997 |
