Alexander Funeral Home, Inc., 3809 Main Street. In 1986 John and Lisa Alexander purchased the Baker Funeral Home, established in 1967 by Maynard Baker, eventually renaming it Alexander Funeral Home, Inc. Prior to its days as a funeral home, the structure housed the McCarthy Tourist Home and several doctors’ offices over its past 130 years. In 1999 the building underwent major renovations and expansion, with the addition of a modern style chapel. David Alexander, John and Lisa’s son, has followed in his father’s footsteps, working alongside him.
