This intact and contributing example of a Greek Revival / Italianate residence features a 2-story, gable-front form, 2/2 sash, decorative cornice brackets and porch supports, and brick fireplace chimney. Together with its neighbors at 14 and 16 Hudson Street, this building reflects the mid-nineteenth century commercial and residential development that took place in the vicinity of the Hudson and Main Street intersection. A non-contributing modern rear apartment/garage is also on the property.
The front gable block is of Greek Revival style as exemplified by the proportion as well as the roof pitch and entablature. Italianate modifications include the bay window and the cornice brackets.
