The Mc Nutt Fountain was once located at the intersections of Main, Hudson and Elm Streets, across from the landmark Floyd Bennett Bandstand in association with a town park. It was a gift from a prominent Warrensburgh native, Randolph McNutt. Lawyer, public servant and entrepreneur, McNutt bestowed many gifts to the community for public use. The most memorable was this cast iron fountain for man and beast, which stood in the town square from the late 1880’s to the early 1930’s, displaced by pavement. The fountain was put in storage and then on private property where it remained until willed to the Warrensburgh Museum. However, new ownership claimed the fountain for many years, until donating it once again to the Town. Warrensburgh Historical Society McNutt Fountain Article
