Donegal Manor

PictureDr. Howard's home, now Seasons Bed & Breakfast. (Richards Library collection)
Seasons Bed & Breakfast, operated by Eileen Frasier since 2003, was formerly known as Donegal Manor B & B, operated by Dorothy Wright from 1992 to 2002.  Prior to that it had been the home and office of dentist, Dr. Samuel Speidel and, earlier, Dr. James Goodman and Dr. Daniel Howard, both medical doctors.  This building, with its cupola, is in the Italianate Victorian architectural style.  James Fenimore Cooper is alleged to have stayed as a guest during the time he was doing research for his book, The Last of the Mohicans. (See also Dr. Daniel B. Howard and Dr. James E. Goodman)
