Hudson Headwaters Health Network is a not-for-profit system of community health centers providing care to residents of and visitors to Northern New York.  It began with a single health center established in Chestertown in 1974 by Dr. John Rugge, joined by Dr. Daniel Way.  In 1975 a center opened in the former A & P Supermarket on Main Street and Richards Avenue in Warrensburg, in cooperation with Dr. Ed Lawrence and the Town of Warrensburg.  In 1978 new health centers opened in North Creek and Indian Lake.  In 1981, with federal funding for community health centers, the four health centers became Hudson Headwaters Health Network. The Albert R. Tucker Clinical Services Center opened January 2005 in Warrensburg.  By 2011, 69,000 people received care annually at 13 health centers covering 3,700 square miles in four counties.
