Burhans Avenue Removed. Now fire co. property 72

This  contributing. c.l850, wood frame  workers’ cottage  was originally  associated  with the Burhans’  tannery  and  is  a significant resource in the district.   The 1-1/2 story, side-gabled  plan features a metal roof, original  brick chimneys,  replacement  sash and recent shingled siding.  Despite these exterior changes, it retains sufficient integrity of form to communicate  its original function as nineteenth century worke.rs• housing.  The property also contains a non-contributing  outbuilding.
